Art With Ms. Tish:
I didn't like the blind drawing because I am always told how great my artwork is, and then I blind draw a leopard that ends up lookig like a bunch of squigglies (but it made me laugh- lol). Even though I know that we are doing it just for fun. When we were drawing we weren't aloud to lift up our pens. I didn't like that rule because that meant that each part of the drawing had to be connected. When we were doing portraits it kind of felt like the person drawing you was observing you or something. It felt kind of wierd having the person staring at you because they stare at you for a long time. This makes it seem like there is something on your face or your hair is messed up. My favorite part of the blind drawing activity was looking at the outcomes of our blind drawings, and how unreal they looked. (Some of them were really funny!) Next time, to make the activity more fun, I would have instead of just blind drawing the outline, I would have blind drawn the color too! I can't even imagine what the drawings would look like if we did that!
6th Day With Explorer Elementary:
Today, Zoe and Katriel came to our classroom. We got to finish up our shoe painting. We also got to start on the letters that would go inside the shoes to the shoe recipiant.
